The entrepreneurs and investors Daniel Hagström and Fredrik Berglund, alongside a consortium of experienced Swedish investors and executives, are proud to announce the acquisition of Moduel, a pioneering company in the smart home and electrical connector industry.
Founded in Sweden, Moduel has developed the world’s smallest certified 16A 250V connector with earth and protective shutter, forming the backbone of a modular cord and outlet system designed for smart home integration.
The company’s products are protected by patents and design rights, certified to EU/Schuko standards, and have already proven their market viability through a successful partnership with one of the world’s leading furniture brands, which has sold millions of units to over 100,000 Nordic households.
Moduel’s product ecosystem includes:
- A fully modular system for power distribution and control
- Over 80 additional products ready for launch, including sensors, switches, and smart modules
- AI Smart Home connectivity via Zigbee, Matter, and Bluetooth
- A cloud-based platform and app for energy and climate measurement, and management
The company is poised to scale globally, with a vision to redefine how consumers interact with power and smart home systems, offering designed, sustainable, and user-friendly alternatives to traditional extension cords and outlets.
As part of the acquisition, Daniel Hagström will take over as CEO of Moduel.
